Introducing Shrill Carder Bumblebee Mix launched to commemorate the anniversary of the first Seedball tin in 2013. At Seedball, their mission is to encourage and inspire more people to cultivate wildflowers in their gardens to support pollinators. With their anniversary tins, they aim to raise awareness about three declining British bee species and emphasise the importance of continuing to scatter seed balls.

Each tin contains 20 seed balls, each filled with approximately 30 bumblebee-friendly wildflower seeds. These seeds include varieties such as Cornflower, Red Campion, Oxeye Daisy, Wild Marjoram, Viper’s Bugloss, Red Clover, and Birdsfoot Trefoil. These seed balls make delightful gardening gifts, ideal for bee enthusiasts, eco-conscious individuals, or as thoughtful birthday presents. They thrive in window boxes, balcony pots, garden beds, and wildlife-friendly gardens, contributing to the well-being of our precious bee populations.

This seed ball acts as a protective barrier, safeguarding the seeds from being consumed by birds and insects, thus enhancing the likelihood of successful flower growth. Additionally, they're incredibly simple to use, requiring no digging or specialised knowledge!

Simply scatter the seed balls onto soil or compost within a garden bed or planter during Spring or Autumn, ensuring there's a minimum of 10cm between each ball. Your Seedball contains all the necessary nutrients to grow, and once the ball becomes moist and the temperature is suitable, your seeds will begin to germinate!

Every purchase you make supports St. Martin's and the valuable work we undertake.
