Short-Haired Bumblebee Mix

Introducing the Short-Haired Bumblebee Mix launched to commemorate the anniversary of the first Seedball tin in 2013. At Seedball, their mission is to assist and inspire more individuals to cultivate wildflowers in their gardens for the benefit of pollinators. With their anniversary tins, they aim to raise awareness about three declining British bee species and emphasise the importance of continuing to scatter seed balls.

Each tin contains 20 seed balls, each packed with approximately 30 bumblebee-friendly wildflower seeds, including Cornflower, Red Campion, Oxeye Daisy, Wild Marjoram, Viper’s Bugloss, Red Clover, and Birdsfoot Trefoil. These seed balls make delightful gardening gifts, perfect for bee enthusiasts, eco-conscious individuals, or as thoughtful birthday presents. They thrive in window boxes, balcony pots, garden beds, and wildlife-friendly gardens, making a positive impact on our precious bee populations.

This seed ball acts as a protective barrier, safeguarding the seeds from being consumed by birds and insects, thus enhancing the likelihood of successful flower growth. Additionally, they're incredibly simple to use, requiring no digging or specialised knowledge!

Simply scatter the seed balls onto soil or compost within a garden bed or planter during Spring or Autumn, ensuring there's a minimum of 10cm between each ball. Your Seedball contains all the necessary nutrients to grow, and once the ball becomes moist and the temperature is suitable, your seeds will begin to germinate!
