Great Yellow Bumblebee Mix

Introducing the Great Yellow Bumblebee Mix launched to commemorate the anniversary of the first Seedball tin in 2013. At Seedball, their mission is to encourage and empower more people to cultivate wildflowers in their gardens to support pollinators. With these anniversary tins, their aim is to raise awareness about three declining British bee species, emphasising the importance of continuing to scatter seed balls.

Each tin contains 20 seed balls, each packed with approximately 30 bumblebee-friendly wildflower seeds, including Forget-me-not, Corn Marigold, White Campion, Birdsfoot Trefoil, Cornflower, Poppy, and Chamomile. These seed balls make delightful gardening gifts, perfect for bee enthusiasts, eco-conscious individuals, or as thoughtful birthday presents. They thrive in window boxes, balcony pots, garden beds, and wildlife-friendly gardens, making a positive impact on our precious bee populations.

This seed ball acts as a protective barrier, safeguarding the seeds from being consumed by birds and insects, thus enhancing the likelihood of successful flower growth. Additionally, they're incredibly simple to use, requiring no digging or specialised knowledge!

Simply scatter the seed balls onto soil or compost within a garden bed or planter during Spring or Autumn, ensuring there's a minimum of 10cm between each ball. Your Seedball contains all the necessary nutrients to grow, and once the ball becomes moist and the temperature is suitable, your seeds will begin to germinate!
